Alongside all the paperwork involved, we will teach you the art of organising and directing others so you can motivate them to aim for top-notch service.
Progression:
Successful students may progress to the Hospitality Supervision NVQ Level 3 course at the College.
Entry Requirements:
In our experience in order to be successful on this level of course you will need one of the following:
• four GCSEs at grades D-F (including English and maths)
• a BTEC foundation diploma in a related subject
• an NVQ Level 1/technical certificate in a related subject
• successful completion of the Gateway/Newstart course
• successful completion of the E2E/Prince†s Trust course
• equivalent qualifications or relevant work experience.

What does the course involve?:
This course provides an introduction to the technical and administrative duties required of a housekeeping operative with supervisory responsibilities.
Units covered by this course can include:
-hard and soft floor maintenance
-customer care
-supporting the team
-resource controls
-health and safety
-cleaning practices and linen control.
The course uses observation of performance to demonstrate competence and combines evidence from the workplace with that of underpinning knowledge development. Off-the-job training can also be used to develop and reinforce understanding where there is an identified skills gap.
