The people within an organisation are its key source of competitive advantage. A simple and undeniably true statement, and yet today there are still organisations out there that fail to recognise the value of its people (its human resource), and have not yet grasped the important contribution that people make to business success. The resource of people, when looked after and invested in, are the difference between organisations that are successful and those that are not. However, it is the way in which people are managed, in other words the specific techniques and approaches to people management and development that is fundamental to that success.

About this course

The aim of this learning course is to provide an overview of many of the key activities of HRM that are fundamental to the effective management and development of people at work.

Students with a HR background looking to enter into a management role.

Students looking to enrol onto this course should meet the following criteria:
Be aged 16 Years or above
Possess a solid knowledge of the English language
Have access to a PC and the internet for the duration of the whole course
Basic computer skills: e.g. Word processing, emailing, uploading documents etc.
Have a genuine desire to succeed
