Course content:
It focuses on the knowledge and skills needed to respond appropriately to typical medical emergencies including heart attack, bleeding, choking and shock.
Course structure:
This course can be offered under a variety of arrangements, for example, block, part time day or part time evening.
Progression opportunities:
Students receive a First Aid Manual and on successful completion receive a certificate validated by the Health and Safety Executive.
The certificate is valid for 3 years only, after which time an update of knowledge and skills is required. The â€OERefresher†courses are also available at the College.
