What will I learn?
One reason why human biology is so fascinating is the range of topics that it covers; from cell structure and microbiology to human anatomy and health. You will gain knowledge and understanding of how the body functions and the effects of environments, disease and infections on it. Whatever form the brave new world of the 21st century takes, one thing is for certain, biologists have a great contribution to make in ensuring that it is a healthier and happier one for us all. This course provides an opportunity to gain a sound understanding of biology through the study of fundamental biological principles whilst exploring modern applications of biology.
What qualifications do I need?
We would normally require candidates to have the standard sixth form entry criteria, including English and Mathematics. Candidates will also be expected to have grade B or above in Biology.

This can lead to many different career routes such as Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Genetics, Environmental Studies, Forensics, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Radiography.
