The aims of this GCSE Science course are:
  • to develop and understanding of Human Biology
  • to develop experimental and investigative skills
  • to develop an understanding of the technological and environmental applications of Human Biology
Course Content
The subject content written into the syllabus is offered under three major and inter-related themes.
The themes are:
  • Relationships between mankind, other organisms and the environment
  • Human Body Systems and their functions
  • Reproduction, growth and development

Assessment of experimental skills is through course work.
The examination allows 2 tiers of entry, Foundation and Higher, appropriate to students of different abilities.
