The City School of Commerce & Technology is now able to offer three high quality and internationally recognized study programmes. This is possible through our accreditation with The Association of Business Executives (ABE). ABE are market leaders in the cost-effective provision of quality assured British management education. ABE qualifications are recognized as accepted routes onto the later stages of a number of UK and overseas university qualifications, including Bachelor and Master Degrees. ABE qualifications are also recognized as accepted routes onto other UK and overseas professional qualifications. Holders of an ABE qualification may obtain subject exemptions in the examinations of these professional bodies..

Human Resource Management(HRMS)

Diploma

Applicants must have obtained one of the following:

  • Overseas qualifications which may be accepted by the Registrar as being equivalent to the above
  • ABE also welcomes applications from candidates without formal qualifications who have been in appropriate employment for at least two years. A reference letter from employer(s) must accompany such applications

The decision of the Council as to the suitability of the candidate shall be final.

The effective management of an organization’s human resources is now recognized across the world as a critical component in the success of both public and private enterprises. The recognition of the role and importance of human resource management in the workplace has led to a demand for trained and qualified professionals
Students who complete the ABE programme will find their HRM skills and their own personal marketability within the organization enhanced, as well as their ability to progress to a degree and higher levels of qualification.

ABE's new HRM programme builds on the success of the Practitioners Programme in HRM, enabling students to complete a Certificate, Diploma Part 1 and 2 and an Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management.

The first worldwide examination in the Certificate and Diploma Part 1 and 2 will be held in June 2007 and in the Advanced Diploma in December 2007.
As a result of this development, the Practitioners Programme will be discontinued after June 2007.

Human Resource Management Practitioners Programme

Program Objectives

The Practitioners Programme in Human Resource Management introduces students to the academic disciplines that underlie the effective management of the human resource and explores both the theory and practice of human resource management activities. Students who complete the programme will find their HRM skills and their own personal marketability within the organization enhanced, as well as their preparedness for further courses of study. This is a combined programme, consisting of a Certificate and a Diploma, each comprising four subjects. Students will not be awarded the Diploma until they have passed all eight subjects
