Human Resource Management

The course is designed also to cover a range of basic management
functions which students will apply to work related issues. In doing so, emphasis is placed on QM and computer
related subjects complimentary to management functions. We think SPSS and SAS training within the course can
prepare students for HRM functions more efficiently and effectively. Some of our HRM students have secured
international placements using the skills which we have imbued in them.

Key Aspects of the Course:
· Understand the key aspects of business administration
· Apply appropriate techniques of analysis to the subject areas
· Research relevant topics and devise and sustain arguments
· Discuss current research and scholarship related to subject areas
· Show awareness of current limits of knowledge in subject specific areas
· Take responsibility for their own learning
· Carry out an extended piece of independent enquiry
· Communicate information in a manner appropriate to subject and the intended audience
· Show initiative and be able to make and justify decisions

The candidate completing the diploma must look for opportunities to work at all levels of organisations and business
areas to build on the experience and further specialisation. A number of opportunities for work in various industries
exist for students who have passed the one year diploma.
