Course programme

The purpose of this course is to teach touch and bodywork techniques which will enhance both the mind and body of canines, thus providing a more relaxed animal with improved muscle tone, enhanced coat condition and a strengthened animal/owner bond.

The course is both practical and theory based. Well behaved dogs can encourage their owners to bring them along to class!

The courses are held in Devon in warm comfortable surroundings. Accommodation is not included in the price, but upon enrolment learners are provided with a list of nearby Bed and Breakfast providers. Class sizes are kept small to ensure individuals receive a high standard of personal tuition. Over the course of three days learners are taught how to apply a full body canine massage routine. They are also introduced to the canine skeletal, muscular and lymphatic systems. Modules are set as home study to be completed alongside practical case studies.

Successful completion of the home study modules and case studies results in the awarding of the ICAT Canine Remedial Massage Certificate Stage 1.
