The IEE Regulations course will provide an explanation of the major changes to the Regulations from the 16th Edition (BS7671:2001) to the 17th Edition BS7671:2008 and its amendments. Suitable for: Electricians who wish to update their 16th Edition qualification to the current edition of the regulations (BS7671:2008, 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations). Most registration bodies are now making membership conditional on obtaining a 17th Edition qualification.

– C&G 2381 (issued after June 2001)
– C&G 2330-07 (LIII Certificate in installation)
– C&G 2330-08 (LIII Certificate in maintenance)
– C&G 2360 Part II (issued after Jan 2004)

Course programme

The 17th Edition Wiring Regulations course provides a 1 day Update from the 16th Edition to the 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations. It is designed for persons who carry out electrical installation work and who are already familiar with the IEE Regulations and need updating to the 17th Edition. Please note that there are entry requirements, laid down by City & Guilds, for this course. Candidates will need to provide evidence of their entry qualification and their City and Guilds candidate number. Successful completion of the course will lead to the award of a City and Guilds 2382 certificate

Comments: This course is for experienced electricians who already hold recent electrical qualifications (see course details for approved pre-requisite courses). Successful completion will lead to the award of a City & Guilds 2382 certificate
Career opportunities: Most electricians are expected to be qualified to the latest edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations by the various registration bodies and by prospective employers. It is also often one of the requirements for registration as a Part P installer
