This five day highly interactive course uses practical experience of EMS auditing to enhance the skills of current auditors and for those individuals required to conduct 1st, 2nd and 3rd party audits. The course equips candidates with the skills to take on the role of a lead auditor within their own organisation or of a lead assessor (after sufficient practical experience) for third party audits.

The course incorporates an audit of an environmental management system in a local company to provide valuable "hands-on" experience. On successful completion of the course and the examination will entitle the delegate to register as an "Associate Environmental Auditor" with IEMA.
Course objectives
By the end of the five day course delegates will:
• Receive an update on developments in environmental standards
• Understand how to audit an EMS against the requirements of ISO 1400
1• Understand audit trails and audit scheduling
• Understand Environmental Legislation
• Be aware of EMAS requirements and validation techniques

What will you learn?
