I recently finished the Illustration course at Blake College. I truly think that the quality of teaching in the college is extraordinary. The tutors have time for you and teach the subject in a very advanced way, but at the level of each individual in the class. The equipment is of a high standard and is always availiable. The exception is the computers sometimes because most of the college needs them. The teaching staff at Blake College prepare you not only for University but also for real life, my experience has been great.

The course is perfect for everyone, from the beginners to advanced. Every class we were doing more than only drawing, the activities were designed to encourage our creativity and better define our personal style.
The teacher is amazing, before the course I thought I couldn't draw at all and nowadays I work as an illustrator!

The emphasis of the projects is on a free and innovative approach to realistic briefs using a diverse range of media and music, poems, animation and the like as stimuli. An illustration catches a mood and instantly conveys a message about the subject or product. Students are trained to get inside a project, opening up key themes and thinking laterally to create relevant and contemporary imagery. Suitable for: We believe that the most important qualification for our courses is enthusiasm for the subject, a desire to learn creative talent. We have students who are at varying levels; some are beginner while others already work in the industry. At the end of your course we would expect you to have a level 3 qualification.
