About this course

Participants will normally be practising managers who should normally have successfully completed a Level 3 Management programme at least or the equivalent. Exceptional candidates who have no formal qualification in management, but who have several years experience and completed some formal training in the role, may also participate.
Candidates should also normally also possess communication skills equivalent to Key Skill Level 3 in Communication.

The ILM Level 5 Diploma in Coaching and Mentoring in Management aims to equip practising managers with the knowledge, skills and confidence to perform effectively as coaches or mentors as part of their normal work role; and in addition to equip them to possibly move into a development role within their organisations

19 weeks, 1 evening per week.
What will I study?
Modules covered will include:
  • Understanding how management coaching and mentoring can benefit individuals and organisations
  • Reviewing own ability as a management coach or mentor
  • Undertaking management coaching or mentoring in the workplace
  • Undertaking an extended period of management coaching or mentoring in the workplace

Attendance Part Time
How will I be assessed?
Each candidate must complete the following to national standards:
  • Work-based Assignment
  • Coaching/Mentoring Diary
  • Personal Development Plan
  • Learning Log and Reflective Review
