The qualification is designed specifically to give practising and potential supervisors basic knowledge and skills which will help them to develop as first line managers. This is a comprehensive introductory coverage of topics and techniques which will help supervisors develop practical techniques for tackling managerial problems and make decisions from gathering information through effective communication of outcomes. You will study 3 mandatory units: Solving problems and making decisions Understanding change in the workplace Planning change in the workplace and a range of optional units. Assessment will be from work-based assignments, reflective reviews, knowledge reviews, oral presentations, role play and or scenarios, or written reports.
