ILM Level 2 Award in Team Leading
Content The ILM Award in Team Leading is the ideal programme for practising or potential team leaders and supervisors. This programme provides participants with the knowledge, skills and personal confidence they need to improve their effectiveness in their management roles at work. All learners gain free studying membership of ILM for one year. Course Content The programme covers 1 compulsory unit of study covering developing yourself as a team leader. There are further option modules covering the full range of team leading skills. Topics covered include developing the work team, developing yourself, motivating, planning and monitoring work, dealing with change, workplace communication and customer relations to name but a few. Course Delivery Most sessions are workshop or classroom based. Although these are tutor-led, participants take an active part by discussing the issues and sharing their knowledge and experience with others in a supportive atmosphere. Assessment For the compulsory unit the participants undertake Reflective Review. For the option modules assessment can be made in a number of ways including oral briefings, work based assignments, reflective reviews, presentation or case studies. All participants can call upon tutorial support to help them with assignments and projects. Progression This is a Level 2 management programme, and offers the participant credits towards the ILM Certificate in Team Leading. Participants could also go on to study management courses of a higher level offered by Tresham. Assessment Tresham Business Solutions certificate of attendance
