This is a course designed for people wanting to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to coach people as part of their working role. The course will enable you to: know what it takes to be an effective coach in your workplace, understand how coaching works – use coaching models and the tools and techniques to support it, analyse, assess and plan to improve your coaching ability.

How will I study?
The course covers: course introduction, the nature of coaching, roles & responsibilities of a coach, coaching in practice – developing skills, reflective practice, group tutorials, review and evaluation, the coaching contact, goal setting, models of coaching, barriers to coaching.
How will I be taught?
This course is a blended learning course and spans approximately 3-4 months from start to finish. As such participants must be prepared to undertake self-directed study outside of the classroom.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment involves: 1 assignment, reflective log: including 6 hours of evidenced coaching, end of course reflection
