Course programme

Units are achieved through one to one support from an advisor who visits the workplace approximately once a month. 38 credits need to be achieved from a range of units made up from:

4 mandatory units contributing 23 credits

Provide leadership and direction for own area of responsibility
Develop and evaluate operational plans for own area of responsibility
Plan change in own area of responsibility
Work productively with colleagues and stakeholders
A variety of optional units are available and must contribute 15 credits, these include:

Develop, maintain and review personal networks
Manage health and safety across an organisation
Monitor and review business processes
Develop a customer focused organisation
Manage a budget for own area of activity or work
Plan and manage a project
Support individual to develop and take responsibility for their performance
Address performance problems affecting team members
Recruit staff in own area of responsibility
Review risk management processes in own areas of responsibility
Analyse the market in which your organisation operates
Conduct a quality audit
Lead innovation within an organisation
Develop working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
Managing grievance procedures
Develop and implement marketing plans
Assessment:

A variety of methods including observations in the workplace, witness testimonies, product evidence and professional discussions.
