ILM Team Leader Award
The ILM Level 2 Award in Team Leading aims to give practising or potential team and cell leaders the foundation for their formal development in this role. The qualification does this by developing basic team leading skills and assisting participants in gaining the basic knowledge required at this level. The programme consists of three intensive day workshops.

What does the course involve?
This course revolves around taught based classes and workshops to carry out practical tasks with tutor support. The course is taken in taught classes by experienced tutors in the area of marketing and management. To ahceive the Award candidates need to be a member of the ILM and pass all three units.

What will I study?
Module 1: Developing yourself as a team leader Describe the responsibilties of a team leader. Understand the limits/scope of role. Use feedback to analyse own performance. Establishing and maintaining trust. Prepare simple action plan to address an issue/problem.

Module 2: Briefing the Work Team State the aims of team briefing. Anticipate needs/expectations of the team. Ifdentify briefing objectives. Plan and stucture a presentation. Prepare location. Promote and handle questions. Check for team understanding. Illustrate methods to report back findings.

Module 3: Developing the Work Team Explain how teams differ from groups in the workplace. Explain team roles and responsibilties. Identify team development stages. Identify advantages/disadvantages.
