What will I study?
This level 2 qualification covers the technical needs for todays motor vehicle repair industry, including the diagnosis of non-complex system faults. It provides essential knowledge for service technicians working on light vehicles (cars and vans) in all types of garages, dealerships and maintenance depots.

How can I progress?
On successful completion of this qualification, students can progress to IMI Level 3 Diploma or may gain employment or an apprenticeship in motor industry.

What will I need to qualify for this course?
In order to qualify for this course students must have; *IMI level 1 Award in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Light Vehicle Route.

Course Structure
Whilst studying towards this qualification the following modules will be covered; *Contribute to Workplace Good Housekeeping, *Ensure Your Own Actions Reduce Risks to Health and Safety, *Maintain Positive Working Relationships, *Carry out Routine Light Vehicle Maintenance, *Remove and Replace Light Vehicle Engine and associated systems Units and Components, *Remove and Replace Light Vehicle Auxiliary Electrical Units and Components, *Remove and Replace Light Vehicle Chassis Units and Components, *Remove and Replace Light Vehicle Transmission and Driveline Units and Components. Students will also gain a broad knowledge and understanding of health and safety in the workplace and other skills associated with working in a garage.
