The IMIS Diploma
IMIS is an acknowledged leader in the development of professional education and training programmes. The Institute's own comprehensive framework of formal examination courses is highly respected within the industry, and increasingly popular world-wide - currently 6,000 students in 58 countries are working towards IMIS qualifications.
Students who do not meet the entry requirements for the Diploma may take the IMIS Foundation Diploma which provides a general level of preparation in Business and Computer applications. Each module is designed to introduce the student to the basic elements of information systems practices.
The Diploma corresponds to the standard of the Ordinary National Certificate (O.N.C.) and the Higher Diploma to the Higher National Certificate (H.N.C.) of the Business and Technician Education Council (B.T.E.C)
The IMIS Diploma syllabus was updated to take account of the many changes in Information Systems technology and practices and the Internet in the last few years. This course structure of the syllabus is listed below and this will be in operation from January 2005 onwards.
