Course Description
You will learn how to use Microsoft Applications, such Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Database, Powerpoint, E-mail, Internet and Intranet; how to install hardware and software. You will learn how computers are used in industry.After an initial 12 week period in College you will then go on placement for 2 days per week in an NHS establishment to gain hands-on work experience. Learning is based around practical tasks.

Entry Requirements
Level 2 Work-based Apprenticeship learners will have to undertake a period of initial assessment, including a vocational aptitude test, and achieve between 50% and 70% in both Literacy and Numeracy Level 1 diagnostic tests.

Attendance Modes: Day

Assessment: There are no exams or assignments. You will build a portfolio of evidence. Evidence will be in the form of witness statements, observations, photographic evidence, wrtitten accounts with screen shots.

Progression Routes: Jobs in the IT industry or NHS. You can progress onto Level 3 Advanced apprenticeship, BTEC National Certificate, or other Level 3 IT courses.
