Do I need any additional qualifications/ skills?
Further Information: The course is designed to help students to become discerning users of ICT, developing a broad range of ICT skills and knowledge and understanding of ICT. This should form a basis for progression to further learning and/or employment. Students will be encouraged to develop the capacity for thinking creatively, innovatively, analytically, logically and critically, the skills to work collaboratively, the ability to apply skills, knowledge and understanding of ICT in a range of contexts to solve problems and an understanding of the consequences of using ICT for individuals, organisations and society and of social, legal, ethical and other considerations about the use of ICT. What can I do afterwards?
A successful ICT A Level can lead towards university entry as part of an A Level package. There are many different ICT courses at university level and most can be combined with a second subject of your choice. IT and Human Geography and IT and Equestrian Studies are examples of two more unusual such courses. IT and Business or IT and Economics are more usual combinations.
