What's it all about?:
The advanced diploma will explore, in more detail, working in the information technology and communications sector. It reflects the blend of business, technical and interpersonal skills needed in modern professional roles.

Progression:
On successful completion of the national diploma you may progress to:
  • the Software Development Foundation Degree at the College
  • the Business and Information Communication Technology Foundation degree at the College
  • higher national or degree level study in subjects such as computer studies, information systems or business studies

a wide range of careers in the information technology industry.

Entry Requirements:
  • Four to five# GCSEs at grades A*-C (including English and maths)
  • A BTEC first diploma in a related subject

Duration: Two years Course Overview
What does the course involve?:

You will study:
  • creating and managing technology solutions
  • multimedia and digital projects
  • 3D modelling
  • 3D animation
  • event driven programming.

Assessment will include projects, assignments and other coursework. You will also be assessed in functional skills and personal learning and thinking skills.
