Course programme
Full-time students take seven taught modules and complete a 3-4-month project, either:
- MSc IT Project, or
- Project in Learning Technologies.
Part-time students take three to four taught modules in each of their two years, and complete the project in the second year.
Guided by the programme director, you choose four of the modules from a range of available options.
MSc Information Technology offers a specialised Information Systems Management (ISM) pathway designed for mid-career professionals in either IT/management who would like to improve their knowledge in both of these domains. For the ISM pathway, you must complete two modules from the Department of Management and the MSc IT Project - Type A, which conducts a piece of research related to the design of an information system using appropriate quantitative or qualitative methods. If you satisfy the ISM pathway's requirements, you will graduate with an MSc Information Systems Management.
