Information Technology Work BTEC Introductory Diploma Entry Requirements

* A range of GCSEs at E-G including English and preferably Maths or equivalent
* An Entry Level course with good evidence of ability to achieve at a higher level.

Entry is subject to a successful interview.

Content You will study a range of topics over 8 units split into two terms including:

* Introduction to computer hardware and software,
* Using the Internet
* Exploring the IT industry
* Financial management.

Key Skills will also form part of your final qualifications and additional programmes may be offered.

Assessment
This is through a Portfolio of Evidence which is made up of assignments from each unit. Two of these will be externally set assignments that have a time limit on them.

Progression
This course will prepare you for entry to employment or for further study such as the BTEC First Diploma for IT practitioners.

Additional Information
There will be trips to important and historical computer displays and attendance on these is compulsory.
