To any prospective student out there, interested in wig making or any other course that Susan offers, I’ll be the first to tell you that you won’t be disappointed. While the course itself was amazing and everything I was hoping for, it’s the instructor that was the highlight. Sometimes you go to a class and the teacher isn’t enthusiastic about the material or about being there in general. Susan loves her craft and her joy is contagious. The best thing for me, though, was the mutual respect. She respected my intelligence and didn’t question that I understood what she was teaching. I had so much fun learning how to make wefts out of loose hair, how to clean and style wigs, how to secure wigs, and how to knot hair onto lace for the appearance of natural hair for lace front wigs and prosthetic facial hair. Susan is so generous with her knowledge and has so much experience behind it. It’s my favorite class that I’ve ever taken and I’m a huge hair nerd. I’m excited to be saving up for another trip if I can manage it. I believe I was her first international student! I’m very proud of what I learned in my 4 days at the Susan Hunter Academy and even have the mustache I made in a shadow box at my salon.

I attended the Basic Introduction to Wig Making for Theatre, Film & TV with Susan Hunter Hair & Make up Academy. Many thanks for putting up with my endless questions, my stress during hairdressing and my language during wig work! You have been a great tutor and have given me confidence in a subject I thought I was pants at!
