The Institute Leadership & Management NVQ L3 is a nationally recognised qualification designed to meet the needs of today’s dynamic businesses. The qualification aims to give participants an opportunity to develop their management performance, become more effective and progress their career.
How does it work
This management training is competence-based and is concerned with a candidate´s performance in the workplace or voluntary sectors. The Institute Leadership & Management NVQ L3 can be provided either through individual modules or as a complete programme leading to a full NVQ.
To achieve the full ILM NVQ L3 candidates must complete four mandatory and three optional units, allowing learning to be tailored to the skills required at a specific workplace. Mandatory units are:
- Manage your own resources and professional developments
- Provide leadership in your area of responsibility
- Allocate and monitor the progress and quality of work in your area of responsibility
- Ensure Health and Safety requirements are met in your area of responsibility
The three optional units must be chosen from:
- Promote equality of opportunity and diversity in your area of responsibility
- Encourage innovation in your area of responsibility
- Plan a change
- Implement change
- Develop productive working relationships with colleagues
- Recruit, select and keep colleagues
- Provide learning opportunities
- Manage a budget
- Manage a project

- Work with others to improve customer service
