Duration :1 year programme -15 hours per week - Full Time
Who the Course is For:
Prepares students for IMI Diploma in Motor Vehicle programmes. This course facilitates the development of practical skills and knowledge essential for those training to become qualified road vehicle service and repair technicians. The IMI Certificate in Motor Vehicle is based around the Technical Certificate, a necessary requirement for the Apprenticeship Framework. This ensures that the course satisfies the students and meets the national standards set by the Automotive Skills Council.
Assessment:
All units are examined by on-line assessment in the form of multiple-choice questions and in order to assess the students ability to perform practical tasks to industry standards, simulated workshop activities of fault diagnosis and repair are arranged.
Course Leads To:
Career development in the vehicle service and repair trade. Progression to the course, IMI Diploma in Motor Vehicle, for vehicle diagnostic technicians. Advanced Apprenticeship programme when signed up with a Managing Agent.
