Intensive Bricklaying

Bricklaying Courses The vast majority of our clients have never laid a brick in their lives. With the benefit of Jason Rayner's experience, they graduate from this course knowing how to select the right materials; set out for the structure they will build; erect walls so they are level and plumb and create openings for windows and doors. Whether you want to build a garage, a conservatory, or a two-storey extension - attending this course will give you the skills to do it! Objectives:

• Site preparation, planning and setting out,
• Use of tools, the importance of plumb, line and level.
• Mixing cement, laying and cutting bricks and blocks.
• Creating a Damp Proof Course and using wall ties
• Insulation and pointing

By the end of this five day course you will have built walls out of brick and block, a double skin garden wall and pillars.
You will also learn how to build around openings and will fit doors and windows.
The course covers all bricklaying techniques and is designed to give you a sound knowledge of brickwork for use at home or site
