Join Mark Smith who will take you from being an absolute beginner to a competent plasterer; with the ability to board and skim walls and ceilings and undertake patching and repairing. You will also learn rendering as well as gaining an understanding of all the tools and materials involved in doing plastering work Objectives:

• Preparation, cutting and fixing plasterboard to walls and ceilings.
• Use of angle beads, joint taping, dot and dab, mixing plaster.
• Use of tools, skimming, repair work, feathering.
• Basic rendering techniques.

By the end of this five day course you will have plaster boarded and skimmed the equivalent area of a small bedroom and over-skimmed the same area. You will also have repaired holes and cement rendered a wall. The step-by-step approach we adopt will ensure you understand each of the tools used, the properties of various materials and the techniques required to achieve a quality result.
