About this course

HTML 101 Yellow Belt

This class provides you with the concepts and skills to use HTML effectively. You get hands-on practice working with basic through advanced techniques to get the most out of your experience. You will learn the basics of coding for web design, beginning with HTML and advancing to more complex HTML5 fundamentals.

In the hands-on HTML5 Green Belt training course, you will learn how to create web applications using HTML5. The HTML5 Green Belt will give you the first hand experience with all the new HTML5 features so that you can start using it in your projects right away.

CSS makes controlling the style of web sites far easier than it once was. Rather than having to enter the properties of font, colours, leading, margins, typefaces, etc., into the coding of each page, we simply refer to one overarching style sheet which contains these definitions. This course will give a solid grounding in writing these style sheets, which will allow even beginners to create professionally styled web sites which comply fully with W3 standards.

If you already have a solid grounding in CSS, you may be wondering just how far it can go. Well, with CSS3 technology, it can be used to design for modern, mobile, and even future browsers. This course teaches advanced features such as rendering, opacity, multi-column, drop-shadows, and many more effects. Most importantly, it prepares students for the future of CSS, and gives an education that will last beyond today’s common browsers.

Anyone who wants to work as an interactive designer.

We will assume little or no prior knowledge of HTML and CSS in this course but you should have a basic working knowledge of either the Windows or Mac.
