Course Aims:
To introduce learners to the basic skills within Interior Design
Course Content:
Interior Design will develop your knowledge of colour theory, technical drawing and awareness of textures and co-ordinates needed to create a beautiful, functional home or office.
You will be required to perform a sequence of tasks in the form of samples. Each task will develop its level of skill, culminating in the proper construction of a specific room setting.

Exam:
Assessment is informal and ongoing. Students will produce a portfolio of work showing completion / evidence of three mandatory units which are assessed by the tutor and verified by an external NCFE moderator. As an integral part of the course all students will be expected to complete a workbook evidencing competence in the assessment criteria.
Qualification:
NCFE Level 1 or 2 Creative Crafts- Interior Design (depending on individual ability)

Notes:
You will need to bring with you:
1 note pad, 1 sketch book A3, 1 pencil case containing the following- paper scissors, fine black marker pen 03, 1 pencil, rubber and a pencil sharpener.
Duration:
2 hours for 30 weeks
