Interior Design NCFE Level 2

This course is designed to equip the candidate with the basic skills and knowledge needed to successfully and effectively 'pull together' a Domestic Interior Design scheme. This will include the development presentation and evaluation of each proposed scheme. Learning outcomes are valuable for personal use and for those who are aiming for a career in Interior Design.
At the end of the course the successful candidate will be able to plan a scheme successfully by applying their own creativity and skills to fulfill a clients brief at a professional level.

You are required to attend one evening class per week plus undertake up to 3 hours of home study per week.

A PowerPoint presentation will be shown during enrolment week to clarify the course content. It is highly advised that all those interested attend to ensure that this is the correct course and at the right level of study.
Entry Requirementslevel 2 Art, Literacy and Numeracy.Some knowledge of working drawings would be an advantage.
Course Content
Professional design scheme development for the refurbishment of kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and a range of reception rooms.
You will conduct site surveys, sample manufacturers products - furniture and fittings, lighting, textiles, floor and wall coverings and produce scale drawings to communicate the proposed design.
Health and Safety issues.
Design curtains, blinds and other window treatments.
For each assignment you will compile mood, colour and specification boards, co-ordinate colour, textures and material finishes that also communicate the proposed design.

How will I be assessed?
Successful completion of assignments to be administered throughout the course.
Successful candidates will receive NCFE Level 2 Design Certificate
What can I do next?
Students can progress onto Art and Design Access programme dependant on Portfolio.
Employment at trainee level.
