Course Content: The course will cover: Identifying any hazard specific to the site, task and machine Identifying and explaining functions of all instruments and controls on the machine Carrying out daily pre-use checks on the tractor Demonstrating knowledge of precautions to be observed when driving with heavily loaded trailers and implements Mounting vehicle, carrying out safety checks and starting engine How will I be assessed? There is a formal NPTC assessment which can be taken at the College using our own tractors - or on your own site using your own tractor - and this will take approximately two to three hours. Are there any additional costs or specialist equipment required? You will be required to supply your own: Overalls Steel toe-capped boots High-visibility vest Lunch Writing materials What can I do after this course?
