Course Content: The course covers: How to recognise, defuse and resolve conflict situations Physical intervention skills Health and safety procedures Laws relating to the private security industry Effective communication skills How will I be assessed? You will be assessed through a practical assessment of physical intervention techniques and online multiple choice exams. Are there any additional costs or specialist equipment required? There are no additional costs although you may wish to apply for your SIA licence in order to work in the security industry. You may be charged to resit if you fail to attend on your assessment date. As part of the course, you should have suitable clothing to carry out practical activities, including indoor trainers and sports kits. What can I do after this course? Having completed the Award in Door Supervision, you can apply for your SIA licence for employment in the security sector.
