Course programme

Course Content: The Creative iMedia Design course is vocationally related, industry relevant and suited to a broad range of learning styles and abilities. The course will equip you with a range of creative media skills and provide opportunities to develop, in context, desirable transferable skills such as research, planning and review, working with others and communicating creative concepts effectively. How will I be assessed? You will be assessed via two mandatory units plus two optional units. Are there any additional costs or specialist equipment required? You will be required to purchase a basic media design toolkit costing approximately £25 based on a list provided at enrolment (concessions available subject to status). You will also need a journal or notebook at all times throughout the course. What can I do after this course? Further Study On successful completion of the programme to Merit or Distinction standard, as well as GCSE English at grade C, you can progress to a Level 3 programme of study including the Diploma and Extended Diploma in Digital Media Design or related subjects. Careers This course puts you on the pathway to roles such as web designer, digital layout artist, online journalist, social media manager, games designer, digital graphic designer, animator and special effects designer.
