Essential requirement are student’s ability, enthusiasm, initiative and drive to obtain a valuable qualification in order to progress an engineering Career. Academically a student must have obtained a minimum of 4 GCSE passes at grades C or above including Mathematics, or have successfully completed the level one Engineering Craft Skills qualification, associated functional skills & Maths or Science at GSCE grade C.
Mature students without entry qualifications, but with the relevant experience, may be admitted to the course, subject to successful interview and a maths test.
Intermediate Level Engineering
Essential requirement are student’s ability, enthusiasm, initiative and drive to obtain a valuable qualification in order to progress an engineering Career. Academically a student must have obtained: 4 GSCE passes at grade C and above or successful completion & tutor recommendation from Performing Engineering Operations Level 1 or equivalent.
Intermediate Level Engineering
This is an intermediate level course that could lead to the advanced level course or an apprenticeship. Students must complete the course, all functional skills sessions and will require a tutor recommendation to progress to the advanced level course.
