Course summary

The V1 award has been developed to support assessors in the process of becoming a competent and effective verifier. Run over 3 months part time, the course offers a formal qualification and provides a good foundation of knowledge and skills on which to build and develop verification practice. This is a flexible course offered through LearnInvicta Limited and is accredited through City & Guilds.

Prerequisites

This award is for anyone whose role involves; evaluating the internal assessment process; monitoring and reviewing internal assessment audit systems; carrying out related internal verification or moderation activities.

Course description

The V1 is an individual unit from the Learning and Development NVQ and is a requirement for all those involved in internal quality assurance processes or moderation activities. The programme is made up of group sessions and individual appointments to support and guide the candidate through the award. Assessment method

Assessment will be carried out by a qualified NVQ assessor which will include; Observation of workplace activities, Product evidence, Questions, Witness statements, Accreditation of Prior Achievements and Learning

Target audience

This qualification is aimed at current NVQ assessors who would like to be internal verifiers or need to take on the verifier role within their employment.

Study type and Venue

This is offered as a part time course, which can be delivered at locations of your convenience dependant on numbers.

Start details

The course is run over a 3 month period with candidates attending agreed appointments to cover all the necessary activities involved. Start dates are by arrangement. Language Courses are taught in English
