About the course Increasingly globalisation has led to a growing demand for commercial lawyers with an understanding of international law. This course meets this need and will help you develop an understanding of the origins of public and private international conflicts and disputes, the causes of cross-border and municipal commercial disputes, and how these can be prevented, managed and resolved. Intermediate qualifications available:

Course programme
- Study the critical application of legal theory to international commercial transactions, and develop contextual skills related to legal reasoning, analysis, research and independent judgement
- Explore the application of theoretical constructs to a range of commercial scenarios, and learn to provide an effective evaluation of legal options

- A six month work placement - a work-based learning approach in a suitable organisation, formulated in advance with the employer and business school.
- Internship - this is an assessed activity lasting one to three months, as monitored work or service/volunteer experience formulated in advance with the Business School. You will have specific learning goals and will actively reflect on the complete learning experience.
- The Live Project - this will enable you to work as part of a team on a project provided by a business organisation. The exact nature of the level of work, and nature of responsibility will depend upon the chosen organisation. However, there will be close negotiation between the company and the Business School.
- The dissertation - this is a conventional dissertation of , to , words, enabling you to undertake in-depth research of a topic relating to your course. It will consist of research question, aims and objectives, rationale for undertaking the study, literature review, research methodology, analysis of findings, conclusions and recommendations.
