Course programme

Academic and Age Requirements:

You must have attained excellent grades in your secondary school leaving certificate (Attestat or Year 12) or equivalent. Please use the link below to view standard entry requirements by country

Applicants who will be under 18 years of age at the start of the programme in September will be considered on individual basis upon receiving parental consent and evidence of a UK based guardian.

English Language Requirements:

ou will need a valid IELTS result from an approved UKVI test centre. We require 5.5 overall (with a minimum of 5.0 in each test).

If you only hold the minimum listed above, you will be required to undertake English language modules as part of the programme.
If you already meet the minimum 1st year English language entry requirements for your chosen degree programme, your English Language modules may be substituted with alternative modules.

Progression Requirements (for entry to the 1st year of the BSc programme):

40% in all modules is needed for progression onto all programmes.

Tuition fee (2017/18 session): £13,300

  • Programme Duration: 1 academic year (September to June)

    The International Foundation Programme in Business is a one year course designed for International students who do not have the required GCE A levels or equivalent qualifications for entry to Aston University undergraduate degree programmes and who want to study Business or related programmes. The programme is equivalent to the UK’s Year 13.

    This programme allows you to study modules which guide you through the processes involved in creating, sustaining and growing a successful business. In addition, you will receive support in professional and study skills. You will have the best of both worlds - you will be taught at Aston University by both Aston University staff involved in research and by staff from Birmingham Metropolitan College. This is a transition programme which aims to consolidate your existing skills and knowledge and build on them to smooth your transition to a University environment.

    This programme will give you access to all degrees in Aston Business School, which include:

    • BSc Accounting for Management

    • BSc Business and Management

    • BSc Business Computing and IT

    • BSc Economics and Management

    • BSc Finance

    • BSc Human Resource Management

    • BSc International Business and Economics

    • BSc International Business and Management

    • BSc International Relations (Joint Honours)

    • BSc Marketing

    • LLB Law

    • LLB Law with Management


      You can also gain access to some degrees in Aston's School of Engineering and Applied Science

    • BSc Logistics with Supply Chain management

    • BSc Logistics with Transport Management

    • BSc Logistics with Purchasing Management

    You will study:
