Course objectives

Interpersonal Skills are fundamental to everything we do in our professional and private lives. Whether it is giving a presentation, conducting an appraisal or even a general chat with an employee or colleague, we use interpersonal skills. We bring to the conscious level the various different types of interpersonal skills we have available to us and when it is most appropriate to use these skills. Everyone believes they communicate effectively either on the phone, through the written word (eg, e-mail) or face to face. Communication, however, is rated highly as one of the major problem areas facing organisations in business today. The Interpersonal Skills course is designed to identify how to use the various tools and techniques to our greatest benefit. It takes a look at elements of communication and impacts of behaviour.
