Introducing Science and Engineering Foundation Year - University of Sheffield

This course is designed to provide applicants with a grounding in the pre-requisite maths & science. This is especially helpful to those who are returning to the study of maths and science after a break or entering with diverse qualifications. Participants will familiarise themselves with level 2 concepts and formulae in:

• Basic number, algebra & trigonometry
• Forces, energy, motion & electricity
• Atomic structure, bonding, & chemical reactions

After completion of this course, participants will be prepared to begin studying these concepts at a higher level.

This course will be self-paced, but best completed prior to week 1 of teaching.
