Art Therapy is a form of psychotherapy involving the encouragement of free self-expression through painting, drawing, or modelling to create a visual representation of thought and feelings.
Art Therapy offers an opportunity to explore intense or painful thoughts and feelings in a supportive environment.
The difference between Art Therapy and recreational art is that no technical skills or expertise are required to participate.

The day consists of experiential workshops in which students will be encouraged to discover their own creative process and explore images that emerge, alongside this, leaning will take place through seminars and examples of case studies.
No previous experience of art making is required, but it is important to be prepared to take part in image-making.
