This course is specifically suitable for those students who have little or no prior knowledge or experience of counselling. The course is for people who want to pursue personal or occupational/professional devleopment. People who work or deal regularly with other people, particularly in a supportive or advisory capacity will benefit from gaining insight into the basic method and concepts of counselling.

Students will complete a weekly journal of their experiences on each workshop. Students will also role play in small groups (triads) to practice and develop basic counselling skills.
