Course programme

The aim of this introductory course is to provide an overview fitness for service methods by using guidelines provided in API 579-1/ASME FFS-1:2007. This internationally-recognised standard provides technically sound consensus methods for the reliable assessment of the structural integrity of equipment containing identified flaws or damage. Attendees will gain a valuable insight into the different methodologies and grades of assessments related to specific damage mechanisms generally found in aging assets. The course is supported by many real-world case studies demonstrating the application of the assessments. Attendees will also have the opportunity to work through Level 1 assessment exercises to put into practise lessons learnt during the sessions.
