Course programme
A short, introductory course for students who would like to learn about some of the skills and techniques used by professional garden designers, without undertaking a full, professional course.
Create your ideal garden with the help of your tutor, using the ideas and techniques explored in this course. You will have the opportunity to assess the unique conditions in your garden and create an outdoor space that is ideally suited both to the location and your family's requirements. The course book is Design Your Garden by Dairmuid Gavin.
Each of our short courses is four modules long and includes tutorial support from an expert tutor as well as all required course material and a free course book.
Our short courses are also ideal if you are considering one of our full length design courses but don't yet feel ready to take the plunge. A short course can provide a gentle introduction as well as helping you to decide if this is the right career area for you.
why choose us?
Our tutorial support is second-to-none. You'll be assigned a personal tutor as soon as you enrol who will work with you all the way through. You can contact your tutor directly at any time if you have any questions or problems, or if you would just like a chat about how the course is going. Tutorial support is by e-mail and/or telephone. Tutors can also offer advice on further study options appropriate to your long-term goals.
