Beginners & those interested in becoming a hairdresser or learning for fun.

1: This course will cover Introduction to Hair Structure.
2: Intro to Shampoo & Blow Dry.
3: Intro to Hair Products

This course is aimed at people interested in progressing to a level 2 Hairdressing course or wanting to learn a bit more about hair for their own interest.

Students can progress to a level 2 diploma: (Not inclouded in this course)
Level 2 diploma details below>>>Format:

3 Weekends per month over 1 Year
Or 5 days per week over 22 Weeks (Weekdays)

Other formats may be available for students who already have a
work placement in a salon.



Mandatory Units to be completed.
Ensure your own actions reduce risks to Health & Safety
Give clients a positive impression of yourself and your organisation
Advice and consult with clients
Cut hair
Shampoo and condition hair and scalp
Style, dress and finish hair using basic techniques
Change hair colour using different techniques
Perm and neutralise hair using basic techniques
Plus one of the following optional units:
Fulfil salon reception
Promote additional products or services to clients
Develop and maintain your effectiveness at work
Provide scalp massage services

After either Habia, VTCT, SVQ or a WFHBS course you will be able to register as a state registered hairdresser, obtain insurance and join professional hairdressing organisations.
