Introduction to Jewellery Design and Manufacture

The first 4 weeks are primarily about gathering and developing a visual language. This could be drawing, photography, working directly with materials, trips to various exhibitions. Some technical drawing and presentation drawing will be included. The final 2 weeks are given over to the student to produce a collection of one aspect of something developed in the earlier part of the course. It is hoped that this will provide a concrete base to progress into more advanced production methods.
