An Introduction to MODAF

Course Description

MODAF is the MoD’s architectural framework and has been developed with the intention of providing a rigorous way to specify systems of systems, being a key enabler to NEC (Network Enabled Capability).

This course gives attendees an overview of MODAF, defining key terms and concepts as embodied in the MODAF meta-model with an emphasis on realizing MODAF views using modeling. A battlespace scenario is used to examine example MODAF views and consideration is given to ensuring consistency between views through modeling.

With the alignment of the NATO Architecture Framework (NAF) with MODAF this course is also applicable for anyone intending to use NAF V3.1.
