Introduction to Modern Manufacturing & Inspection Techniques for Industry
About the course:
This course is delivered over a full day and is designed specifically to introduce employers and their staff to the practical advantages of understanding the science of measurement. The setting up of a modern comprehensive metrology facility can be very expensive and it is thought that Metrology can only be taught with the aid of such equipment. This is simply not true. It is a distinct disadvantage for any learner to be exposed to such high calibre instrumentation too early and without sufficient knowledge of Metrology. The basics of the subject can best be learnt with quite simple equipment, the most expensive being a set of Gauge Blocks. Practical Metrology courses will aid the student in performing basic dimensional metrology experiments.
