The aim of the course is to give you an understanding of double entry bookkeeping. Starting with a new business, the course builds up to VAT, Sales and Purchase ledgers, the Profit & Loss account and Balance Sheet. Finally, you'll progress to an introduction of Sage 50 Accounts / Instant Accounting. After this course you will be able to understand the fundamental principles of bookkeeping and apply them to everyday procedures. Suitable for: This course is for you if you are new to bookkeeping and the nominal ledger. You will also find it useful if you have some experience in debt chasing and basic sales ledger operation. It is not suitable for experienced bookkeepers or those familiar with accounting software. Note: this course aims to illustrate those areas of double entry bookkeeping relevant to users of Sage accounting software rather than teaching the operation of Sage accounting packages.
